Miniatures: Mileage & Joy

This lesson is for all levels. Developing the habit of painting small and painting regularly is something I can’t encourage enough! It’s kept me at the easel when life gets busy and complicated. Working small allows us to work relatively fast, use scraps of paper so we don’t feel too precious and if we let ourselves, we can explore a different kind of mark making! I recommend following along for a first try, then using one of the alternate reference photos to do another group of small pieces using the same steps; just applying them to the alternate reference photos.

This is a paid Watch & Paint lesson. In order to see the lesson, you’d need to Sign Up for one of the lesson packages or LOGIN HERE if you’ve already paid.

The Watch & Paint Lessons are an eye opening journey that will allow you to become familiar with the medium of pastels and gain the ability to orchestrate it into lovely compositions. Live Lessons happen every month and give you a chance to directly ask Marla questions while she is teaching and painting. Its an invaluable resource in moving forward with pastel painting.
