Comfort and Light Live Lesson

We're going to paint this snow scene and it's an interesting scene with a lot of contrast and delicacy. When I originally painted this, it was from a group of photos when it snowed here in the Portland area in the fall so that's why the trees have so much color in them. It's a very unusual but interesting photo reference. When I took the photos, it wasn't actually snowing so I invented the quality that it actually is. This one is just going to be a little different. I'm going to start with a little dark because the tree line is pre-dominantly dark. It's a pretty simple composition and it's really more about the colors.
