Autumn Field Live Lesson

This piece is an old favorite of mine and was part of a series of posters a number of years ago. It is a simple composition and rather centered.

The reference photo is an Oregon scene and one which I took while I was driving by. It may be a poor piece of reference but it does have some elements that I originally found that I could grab on to and make a great painting out of. I love transforming a reference piece because if the photograph is already beautiful, it's as if there is no room enough for me.

This is a paid Watch & Paint lesson. In order to see the lesson, you’d need to Sign Up for one of the lesson packages or LOGIN HERE if you’ve already paid.

The Watch & Paint Lessons are an eye opening journey that will allow you to become familiar with the medium of pastels and gain the ability to orchestrate it into lovely compositions. Live Lessons happen every month and give you a chance to directly ask Marla questions while she is teaching and painting. Its an invaluable resource in moving forward with pastel painting.
