Winter Glow

Are you ready for fall and winter? I am and I’m interested in capturing the luminous winter landscape. How do we depict snow most effectively? Surprisingly, staying away from white can help us head in the right direction. Although the composition on this one is rather simple, the challenge lies in getting enough difference in value while still getting the snow to read as snow. This lesson has a bonus piece! I did two versions, so you can follow along with both or use your own reference for the independent assignment.
