Fall in Wyoming

The reference material is a scene in Wyoming near the Grand Tetons. I developed the piece from four photographs and took what I was really interested in. Aside from the color, I love the foliage mass and was really attracted to the sky in this piece.

I tend to have an affinity for the earth. Compositionally, most of it is about the earth and just a little bit of it is about the sky. I also like the division of space. They are uneven masses and that is what we want.
